McClure is seeking a Traffic Safety Engineer to join our newly established East Region Transportation team. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with industry experts on a variety of high-visibility and critical projects, including Intersection Control Evaluations (ICE), Road Safety Audits (RSA), and comprehensive safety analysis to design facilities for all users. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor with all team members
  • Ability to manage a fair workload by staying focused and managing priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and helping the team produce a quality product
  • Strong knowledge of CAD (AutoCAD Civil 3D) and other Engineering/Technical skills
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office

  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

Educational and/or Experience Requirements:

  • All experience levels will be considered
  • Minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Experience performing safety alternatives analysis, crash data analysis and development of crash countermeasures
  • Experience related to capacity analyses, concept development, traffic modeling, traffic impact analyses, and traffic signal design and timing studies
  • Experience overseeing traffic data collection, trip generation, and traffic analysis activities
  • Proficiency using AutoCAD Civil 3D a plus
  • Proficiency using Synchro & SimTraffic
  • Experience using traffic modeling software such as PTV Vissim a plus
  • Experience developing junior staff a plus
  • Experience with MassDOT and/or MA municipal clients a plus
