At McClure Engineering Company (MEC), a combination of experience, expertise and innovation drives a consistent story of success, lasting customer relationships and meaningful community building. And it’s all by design. In the past year, MEC has added more than 100 years of collective experience to its Development Services (DS) team.

Matthew Kist, P.E., team leader; Dan McGhee, P.E., senior project manager; Greg Pfau, P.L.A., LEED AP, landscape architect; and Ryan Fuller, P.E., project engineer, have all joined MEC to build on its ability to provide comprehensive solutions for site civil design and development in communities large and small.

While MEC is involved in the creation of all forms of development — from the residential areas people call home to the offices and industrial areas where they work — these hires also represent the firm’s ability to get involved with higher-design projects that require non-traditional collaborations and an outside-the-box mentality.

“It’s important that our team includes people who work collaboratively by default and that’s what we have here, folks who actively pull together to perform great work in an efficient manner,” Kist said. “For example, Greg (Pfau) has a great eye for aesthetics and has really turned our landscape department into an integral component of our process, and Dan (McGhee) understands a level of detail that communicates well with clients while still accounting for budget and timeline.”

Hiring experienced individuals who work as a team and who are eager to create relevant and innovative solutions also means consistently detailed and legible project plans.
