NORTH KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI, January 24, 2023 – McClure’s Anthony Malone passed the Professional Landscape Architecture (PLA) exams to become a Professional Landscape Architect.
To become a Professional Landscape Architect, an individual must pass four different exams, as well as have two years of experience. Each exam covers a different portion of the Professional Landscape Architecture practice.
“Our Development team and McClure are happy to recognize Anthony for his recent accomplishment in passing the Professional Landscape Architecture exams,” said Lance Johnson, Vice President of Development. “Anthony is an outstanding member of our Landscape Architecture team, and we are excited to see his talents blossom. Congratulations Anthony!”
Brian Kemp, Team Leader for McClure’s Development team in North Kansas City, said “I couldn’t be prouder of Anthony for completing this step in his professional journey and becoming a licensed Landscape Architect! I’m very excited to see how the next chapter unfolds as he jumps to a higher level in his profession! We’re so glad he’s part of the North Kansas City Development Services team!”
“Becoming licensed has provided me an immense sense of accomplishment,” said Malone. “I begrudgingly spent weeks studying for each of the four exams in 2022, passing the fourth exam in December. The exams cover everything from ADA requirements to contracts and bidding, to the fundamental principles of creating a space. Despite being a generous source of stress and challenges, the reward was worth the hassle. Through newly opened doors, I will continue to pursue my passions in urban design, sustainable green infrastructure, transportation design, and so much more!
