Adam Bohr ScholarshipDECORAH, IOWA, May 28, 2024 – Caden Branum of Decorah, Iowa, has been awarded the 2023-2024 Adam J. Bohr Memorial Engineering Scholarship. The scholarship, given by the Bohr family and McClure of Clive, Iowa, honors the late Mr. Adam J. Bohr. It is awarded to a student pursuing the field of engineering and is based on scholastic standing, community involvement, and extracurricular activities.

Branum, a graduating senior from Decorah High School, will receive $4,000, paid over two years, to support his engineering studies. He plans to attend Grinnell College to study Mechanical Engineering before pursuing a master’s degree in Propulsion or Aerospace Engineering.

“Adam Bohr was a shareholder and critical team member at McClure and was instrumental in opening the Eastern Iowa market for McClure. He joined our firm right after graduating from Iowa State University in Civil Engineering. He had an amazing personality and people loved being around him. Sadly, Adam passed away from cancer on his 36th birthday on December 1, 2010,” said Terry Lutz, Chairman of McClure.

Lutz continued, “The Adam J. Bohr Memorial Engineering Scholarship is awarded to a graduate from his high school in Decorah that is majoring in engineering who we feel is most like Adam—demonstrating hard work, fun to be around, and showing a genuine interest in the field of engineering. We are proud to award this year’s scholarship to Caden Branum and wish him all the best in his collegiate and professional pursuits.”
