COLUMBIA, MISSOURI, May 22, 2023 – Carson Wood has joined the Structural team as an Engineering Technician.
Wood graduated from the State Technical College of Missouri with an associate degree in applied science for drafting and design. He is also AutoCAD certified. Prior to joining McClure, Wood worked at the Missouri Department of Transportation as a Design Technician Intern. His main responsibility was to draw up plans for chip seal projects.
Wood will be working in the Columbia office to help achieve McClure’s vision of making lives better. He is looking forward to working with the Structural team and diving into projects. When asked what made him decide to join McClure, he said, “While in school at State Tech, I liked doing structural drafting more than the other types we had gone over in class. So, when the State Tech job fair came around, the main instructor for my program put in a good word for me at the McClure booth. When I found out that there was a structural division, I knew that was where I wanted to be.”
