Dan McGhee, SKW senior project managerMcClure Engineering Company (MEC) announced the hiring of Dan McGhee, P.E., as senior project manager for development services.

As a senior project manager, McGhee will design and manage site development, sewer, water and infrastructure projects, and serve as a client liaison. He will also direct and monitor the day-to-day operational activities for his project design teams.

“The addition of Dan to our team will support the company’s strategic growth plan,” said Matt Kist, team leader of development services. “He is detail oriented and develops client-focused solutions. A big part of his experience is in Jackson County within the housing sector and also with sports entertainment venues. We are excited to add that experience to our portfolio and work more with developers in that part of the metro.”

McGhee brings with him more than 13 years of experience with public and private site civil work. He has worked in Orlando, Fla., as well as the Kansas City area.

“I enjoy developing strong, functional designs, and coming up with solutions that really satisfy the client and ultimately serve those in the community,” McGhee said. “There is something I learn from every project I complete, and I apply those lessons to improve future projects.”

A Lee’s Summit native, McGhee earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology. He lives in Lee’s Summit where he enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and two children. He is also a runner and completed his first marathon this past fall.

“I am really looking forward to working with a seasoned development firm and supporting the continued growth and development of MEC,” said McGhee.
