NORTH LIBERTY, IOWA, January 16, 2023- Jen Collens has joined McClure’s Water team as a Staff Engineer.

Collens graduated from the Missouri University of Science and Technology with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. Before coming to McClure, Collens worked on a Design Team with the student chapter of Engineers Without Borders. The project was a water distribution system for the Atahuallani community in the mountains of Bolivia. Collens was a member of the task group that focused on designing the dam at the top of the mountain that collects glacial melt. She was also the President of the Engineering Honors Society, Tau Beta Pi, in which she led members through service activities and campus events.

Collens will work alongside the Water team to achieve the McClure vision of making lives better. She is looking forward to applying the knowledge she gained in school and developing her skills. When asked what made her decide to join McClure, she said, “The interactions that I had with the people at McClure stood out most to me. They answered all of my questions in detail and made efforts to ensure that I felt welcomed and valued. I was impressed with the demonstrations of the culture at McClure and what they hold important as employers and people.”
