NORTH KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI, March 8, 2022 – Jim has joined McClure’s Development Team as a Senior Project Manager.
Schuessler received his Master of Architecture from the University of Kansas and a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Kansas State University. After graduating from Kansas State, he worked for Sverdrup, which was bought by Jacobs. He worked for DLR Group and again with Jacobs before joining BNIM Architects. Schuessler was there 14 years as he grew a landscape architecture and planning studio from three people to 20. In 2016, he joined CFS Engineers as their only engineer providing landscape and planning leadership. For the last two years, Schuessler was the Director of Marketing and Client Development, where he worked to improve brand awareness and support collateral.
Schuessler is a licensed Professional Landscape Architect in both Kansas and Missouri. He has been recognized with many national awards achieving the high honor of FASLA. He is also a LEED Accredited Professional and Envision Sustainability Professional.
In his role, Schuessler will be working with the Development Team to achieve our vision of making lives better. When asked what made him decide to join McClure, Schuessler said, “I wanted to work for a firm that had inspirational leaders with non-for-profit values (integrity, kindness, innovation, commitment, and fun). I wanted to work for a firm that was actively looking at strategic growth opportunities, where stagnation was not an option.
