ANKENY, IOWA, June 12, 2023 – Kaitlyn Cawiezell has joined the Transportation team as a Staff Engineer.

Cawiezell graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. She has also passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam. Prior to joining McClure as a full-time employee, Cawiezell completed three internships with McClure. First, she was an intern on the Water team where she was a Bettendorf SSES Project Field Member doing smoke testing, dye testing, and manhole inspections. Next, she joined the Survey team as a field intern doing construction staking. Her last internship was with the Transportation team as a design intern doing redlines, details, notes, and site data collection.

Cawiezell will be working in the Ankeny office to help achieve McClure’s vision of making lives better. She is looking forward to working more closely with her mentors and learning as much as possible from them, both in the field and office. When asked what made her decide to join McClure, she said, “After considering my options of post-grad employment, I found other options with a comparable reputation, but nothing gave me the same sense of community and communication that I have come to know with McClure in my time here spent as an intern. I look forward to continuing to develop relationships across the company as well as maintain the relationships that I had developed in previous years.”
