Columbia, Missouri, July 30, 2019 – McClure’s Development Services Group has begun construction on a new parking lot and promenade for the Missouri S&T campus in Rolla, Missouri. McClure is providing civil design, landscape architecture, and site lighting for this project.

McClure was commissioned to redesign and reconstruct the parking lot to allow for improved traffic flow and site beautification. The existing parking lot was nearing the end of its service life and in need of large-scale repairs. McClure coordinated the redesign with the recently completed fitness center expansion of the Gale Bullman Multi-Purpose Building and identified ways to create exterior features to compliment the addition.

McClure’s project team, led by Ryan Fuller, PE, created a layout reorienting how traffic flows into the lot while incorporating a promenade for pedestrians to get from the Gale Bullman Building to the University’s sports complexes. The site will also include open areas and usable space, aesthetic features, and concrete utilizing the University’s colors, logo, and mascot.

“I’m very excited to see the enhancements to this area of campus and how they improve the student and alumni experience at Missouri S&T,” said Ryan Fuller.
