April 29, 2022 – McClure wrapped up the month-long celebration of World Landscape Architecture Month (WLAM) this week. Every year, the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) hosts a month-long international celebration of landscape architecture recognizing their contribution to designing beautiful public and private outdoor environments. This year, they celebrate with the theme “Growing Together” highlighting how landscape architects create and promote beauty, specifically in natural outdoor spaces.
Over the past six months, McClure’s Landscape Architecture (LA) team has grown from a group of one to four. “Our team is diverse and brings 50+ years of combined experience,” Jim Schuessler, FASLA, PLA, Senior Project Manager said. McClure’s LA team provides support and collaborates with other engineering teams, bringing creativity to our clients in the earliest stages of a project. McClure’s LA site development experience includes universities, high-in residential developments, and mixed-use developments. In addition, McClure’s LA team has been part of many types of projects including parks, roadways, and urban plazas.
At McClure, we continue to be trusted advisors to our clients to live our vision of “making lives better” by shaping vibrant outdoor spaces, encouraging development of healthier communities, and designing environmentally sensitive solutions. With more than 26 years of experience, Schuessler brings a unique appreciation to the team. When asked why Landscape Architecture is so important to him, Schuessler said, “Conservation of resources, environmental consciousness, community involvement – combined to achieve connectivity and beauty.” WLAM may only be a month long, but at McClure we empower team members to make lives better every day.
