Michael Castleman Joins McClure

COLUMBIA, Iowa, July 12, 2021 – Michael Castleman has joined the McClure Structures team as Structural Designer.

Castleman graduated from the University of Missouri – Columbia with a degree in Biological Engineering, with a Biomedical Emphasis. He also attended the University of Missouri – Columbia’s Law School, where he graduated with a Juris Doctor degree. Castleman is currently licensed to practice law in the state of Missouri.

Before McClure, Castleman primarily focused on legal work. He came to McClure from the law firm of McDorman & Parks LLC at Lake Ozark, Missouri. While at McDorman & Parks, he was an associate attorney for the firm. Specifically, the practice consisted of family law, real estate disputes, contract drafting/disputes, and tax issue consultations.

At McClure, Castleman will be working with the Structures team to achieve McClure’s vision of making lives better. He said, “I am looking forward to returning to my engineering roots and developing my engineering practice further.”

When asked what made him choose McClure, Castleman said, “My decision to join the McClure team was heavily influenced by my interactions with the team leaders and what I have been previously told about the company and the experiences working for McClure.”

Zane Clark, PE

Zane Clark, PE

Zane is a Structural Technical Lead on McClure’s Structural team. Through his time at McClure, Zane has gained a familiarity with designing buildings and other structures using a variety of materials, as well as the ability to assess the capacities of existing structures framed in those same materials. Of particular note is his experience designing cold-formed steel structures, including load-bearing gravity and lateral design and non-load-bearing design for environmental loads. Some of his more unique familiarities include design of storm shelters and anti-terrorism force protection design. He also has engineering experience with reinforced concrete, masonry, structural steel, aluminum, and more.
