CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA, February 14, 2022 – Parker Just has joined McClure’s Environmental team as a Water Resources Engineer.
Just graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in 2015 and a Master of Science in Urban and Regional Planning in 2016. He is a licensed professional engineer in Iowa and Wisconsin and has attained Certified Floodplain Manager and Envision Sustainability Professional credentials. Before coming to McClure, Just worked for Snyder & Associates as a Water Resources Engineer with a primary focus on stormwater modeling. Later in his career at Snyder & Associates, he made a switch to engineering design and project management. In this role, his projects included bridge hydraulics, hydraulic modeling of rivers, detention basins, and stormwater systems, levee reaccreditation, culvert design, and other modeling-based design projects. In 2022, Just moved to Impact7G, where he was a Water Resources Engineer that focused on design of urban and rural stormwater quality BMPs, stream restorations, and other environmental design projects.
Just will be working alongside the Environmental team to achieve McClure’s vison of making lives better. He is looking forward to working on environmental design projects and using his skillset in environmental engineering, hydraulic modeling, and stormwater design to help build the Environmental group at McClure.
When asked what made him decide to join McClure, he said, “I went to a few events with some friends in the Cedar Rapids office who recently made the move to McClure, and I was very impressed with the collective demeanor and skillset of the team members that I spoke with. I had worked with staff in the Cedar Rapids office at a previous job and knew that I would be walking into a friendly atmosphere every day. I was also drawn by McClure’s newly formed Environmental group and knew that with the staff McClure brought on that team I would be helping build something special that I wanted to be a part of.”
