CLIVE, IOWA,  May 16, 2023 – Ricardo Corona passed the Professional Engineering (PE) exam to become a Professional Engineer.

“On behalf of McClure and the Development team, we want to congratulate Ricky on this remarkable achievement,” said Lance Johnson, Vice President of Development. “It always adds a layer of complexity when trying to study and prepare for a test like this while raising a family. We are proud to have such a talented and dedicated engineer as part of our team and look forward to seeing his continued growth and success as a Professional Engineer at McClure.”

To become a Professional Engineer, an individual must attain a four-year college degree, pass the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, complete four years of professional experience, and pass the PE exam.

“Ricky has been a great member of the Clive development team. He brings contagious joy to the office and is always willing to take on new challenges to round out his engineering experience. This includes his involvement in McClure’s DEI committee and assisting McClure’s new Environmental team,” said Trent Smith, Team Leader of Development. “His drive in his work and his involvement in McClure’s culture has taken Ricky beyond expectations of any engineer, licensed or otherwise. Congratulations to Ricky, what an accomplishment!”

When asked how it felt to pass the exam, Rick shared, “It feels like a big weight has been lifted off my shoulders. It was hard to find time to study with everything going on in my life. We moved to a new home, had baby #2 on the way on top of development and environmental work. However, the couple of hours I was able to get in along with what I have learned from my time here at McClure, prepared me for the exam.”
