The SKW Home for the Holidays site features gingerbread houses to represent each of its four primary office locations with pages where visitors can make donations to Habitat for Humanity.
Throughout the year, Shafer, Kline & Warren (SKW) provides surveying, engineering and construction services to help clients build everything a community needs to prosper. This holiday season, they are leading an effort to help build homes for those in need throughout those communities.
SKW’s “Home for the Holidays” campaign focuses on raising money for the Habitat for Humanity chapters in each of SKW’s primary office locations – Kansas City, mid-Missouri, Tulsa and Houston. To boster this effort, SKW is matching donations dollar for dollar throughout the campaign.*
“SKW has always been focused on supporting communities through our work, and homes are at the very heart of those communities,” said SKW President and CEO Ron Petering, P.E., PTOE. “We wanted to give back this holiday season and encourage our clients, partners, friends and employees to do the same during the season of giving.”
The SKW campaign website features pictures of gingerbread houses built by SKW’s staff. Each house represents one of the Habitat for Humanity chapters and links to an online donation site where individuals can make a contribution.
“The gingerbread houses offered a way to personalize the campaign while also providing a fun teambuilding activity,” said SKW Chief Marketing Officer Greg Shelton. “It was fun and rewarding to see the SKW team being very creative while designing and assembling the gingerbread houses.”
The holiday cards that SKW sent out also feature the website and invite recipients to support the Home for the Holidays campaign to provide homes for those in need through Habitat for Humanity. The campaign will run through January 1, 2017.
