Townsend Capital of Hunt Valley, Maryland hired McClure for the second major phase in the redevelopment of the Summit Technology Campus. This project included a 35-acre site of commercial property along Ward Road near the intersection of Highways 470 and 50 in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.


McClure, along with Gould Evans Architects, prepared a Preliminary Development Plan, which included studies for stormwater, potable water, sanitary sewers and traffic. The project was delivered as a team with Emery Sapp and Sons of Kansas City as the Contractor. To meet the City requirements, three separate plans were generated: 1) mass grading, drainage, erosion control, paving and street lighting, 2) sanitary sewers, and 3) waterlines, including 4,000 feet of offsite 12” transmission line.

Services also included subdivision platting, coordination with KCP&L, MGE and AT&T, and support for sales contracts and negotations. McClure also provided site – civil design for one of the first tenants, a Holiday Inn Express hotel.
