CORALVILLE, IOWA, July 27, 2026 – McClure is pleased to welcome Danny Scordato to the Water team as a Staff Engineer.
Danny earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering with a minor in Geosciences from the University of Iowa. He brings a diverse background in water, environmental, and transportation engineering through internships with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Snyder & Associates, as well as his service with the Iowa National Guard.
During his time with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Danny supported transportation and environmental initiatives within the Rock Island District. At Snyder & Associates, he gained hands-on experience with surveying and environmental projects. In addition to his engineering experience, Danny served as a Human Resources Specialist and Sergeant in the Iowa National Guard, developing strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
As a Staff Engineer at McClure, Danny will support a variety of water and infrastructure projects, while working alongside experienced professionals across the firm. He is eager to expand his technical expertise, gain experience across a diverse range of projects, and contribute to solutions that positively impact communities throughout Iowa and the surrounding region.
Danny was drawn to McClure for its strong reputation, longstanding history, and commitment to making lives better through water-focused projects. The opportunity to build his career in water engineering while remaining in the Iowa City/Coralville area made McClure a natural fit.
