PORTSMOUTH, NEW HAMPSHIRE, October 14, 2024 – David Bernhardt has joined the McClure team as a Business Development Lead.
Bernhardt graduated from University of Maine Orono with an Associate of Science and Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He is also a Licensed Professional Engineer in Maine. Before joining McClure, Bernhardt had a distinguished career with MaineDOT. He held various leadership roles, including Assistant Director of Project Development, overseeing the delivery of the capital program; Director of Maintenance & Operations, managing system upkeep and the Maine State Ferry Service; Chief Operating Officer, ensuring efficient and effective operations across the major bureaus; and Commissioner of MaineDOT, serving as the CEO of the department. He concluded his career leading the Regional Program, developing design criteria for the collector highway system, managing the pavement preservation program, and mentoring younger engineers.
Bernhardt will work alongside the team to achieve McClure’s vision of making lives better. He is looking forward to making connections and getting involved in major projects.
