 Jon Saavedra

NORTH KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI, April 13, 2026- McClure is pleased to welcome Jon Saavedra to the Survey team as a Crew Chief in Training.

Jon brings a diverse background in field operations and surveying, with hands-on experience across infrastructure, telecommunications, and renewable energy projects. He began his career working with the North Carolina Department of Transportation, where he supported a bridge maintenance crew performing repairs and ongoing structural upkeep. He later worked as a tower climber, contributing to the construction and modification of cellphone and radio towers, including the installation of radios, fiber cables, antennas, and structural components.

For the past three and a half years, Saavedra has worked with Westwood Professional Services in their Renewables department, where he conducted topographic and boundary surveys, as well as staking and as-built surveys for wind and solar farm projects across the country.

At McClure, Jon will serve as a Crew Chief in Training for the survey team out of the North Kansas City office. In this role, he is eager to continue expanding his surveying expertise, gain new perspectives within the field, and learn both from his team and through hands-on project experience.

When asked what drew him to McClure, Jon shared, “After a few conversations with Josh Doughan, McClure sounded like a great fit with a team-oriented approach and a place where I felt I could learn a lot and challenge myself through a variety of different projects.”
