
PORTSMOUTH, NEW HAMPSHIRE, September 3, 2024 – Kim Armstrong has joined McClure’s Transportation team as a Senior Bridge Engineer.
Armstrong graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology with an Associate Degree in Architectural Engineering Technology, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. She is also a licensed Professional Engineer in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Maine. Before joining McClure, Armstrong worked at GPI for just under 15 years, Bayside Engineering for 8 years, and Diversified Engineering Consultants for 1 year. She worked on bridge designs, rehabilitations, repairs, preservation, ratings, inspection and overload truck moves. She has a passion for bridge preservation, which has also led her to work on several historic truss structures and numerous stone arches.
Armstrong will work alongside the Transportation team to achieve McClure’s vision of making lives better. She is looking forward to building the local bridge team and offering the level of excellence that local clients need and deserve. When asked what made her decide to join McClure, she said, “The vision and enthusiasm. Here I have a chance to build something new and that is really exciting to me!”
