BOSTON, MA, November 17, 2025 – McClure is excited to welcome Mahsa Jafari to the Transportation team as a Traffic Safety Engineer.

Masha earned her Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Toronto Metropolitan University, specializing in Transportation Engineering, with research focused on developing data-driven frameworks to analyze traffic crashes using machine learning and statistical modeling. She also holds a Master of Science. in Transportation Engineering from the Iran University of Science and Technology and a Bachelor of Science. in Civil Engineering from the University of Tabriz.

Masha brings strong experience in transportation engineering and safety analytics across research and consulting. As a Research Assistant at Toronto Metropolitan University, she led a project for the Ontario Ministry of Transportation using a systemic safety approach with advanced machine-learning techniques. Her work has been published in academic journals, presented at conferences such as TRB and RSS, and she is active in TRB’s professional community. She previously worked as a Transportation Engineer, contributing to public transportation network design, intersection analysis, microsimulation modeling in Vissim, and roadway assessments. She has also served as a Teaching Assistant at Toronto Metropolitan University and Northeastern University.

At McClure, Masha will support transportation engineering initiatives involving traffic safety analysis, modeling, microsimulation, crash analytics, and data-driven decision-making. She is eager to apply advanced analytical and machine-learning techniques to real-world challenges and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver community-focused infrastructure solutions.
