SIOUX CITY, IOWA, June 22, 2026- McClure is pleased to welcome Matthew Pauling to the Water team as a Staff Engineer.
Matthew joins McClure after earning both his Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Civil Engineering and his Master of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Iowa. He has also passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam in Civil Engineering and is currently pursuing his Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
Prior to stepping into his full-time role, Matthew spent three summers interning with McClure’s Water team in Sioux City. During that time, he gained experience across multiple areas of engineering, supporting projects through field and Resident Project Representative (RPR) services, CAD design, and drinking water and wastewater engineering efforts. A Sioux City native, Matthew is excited to continue building his career while serving the community and region he calls home.
As a Staff Engineer, Matthew supports drinking water and wastewater projects throughout Northwest Iowa. In this role, he looks forward to expanding his technical expertise, learning from experienced team members, and contributing to a diverse range of impactful projects that help strengthen local communities.
When asked what led him to join McClure, Matthew shared that the company’s local and organization wide culture centered on continuous growth stood out to him. Through his internship experience, he discovered a supportive environment that encouraged both professional development and meaningful contributions. As he continues growing as an engineer, Matthew is excited to help deliver projects that improve infrastructure, strengthen communities, and make lives better.
