ANKENY, IOWA, October 31, 2023 – Derek Alleman has joined McClure’s Survey team as an Estimator.
Alleman graduated from Des Moines Area Community College with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Land Surveying. Alleman started his career at Nilles. He then moved and spent the next eight years doing telecom work. After that, he worked at McClure and started getting into the construction side of surveying. He has spent the last five and a half years at Shive-Hattery as a Crew Chief working on topographic surveys, bidding work, office calculations, and completing staking.
Alleman will work alongside the Survey team to achieve the McClure vision of making lives better. He is looking forward to being around other experienced like-minded people to continue progressing in his career. When asked what made him decide to join McClure, he said, “I am very impressed with how much the Survey team has grown since I was last here. It is an army compared to what I am used to.”
