CLIVE, IOWA, October 16, 2023 – Matt Allender has joined McClure’s Transportation team as a Project Engineer.
Allender graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He is also a licensed Project Engineer in Iowa. Before joining McClure, Allender worked in the Des Moines Metro for the last eight years, primarily on heavy transportation and general municipal projects. Six of those years were at Snyder & Associates and two of those years were at ISG. He has worked in a variety of roles including lead technical engineer for Iowa DOT projects, project manager for projects across the Midwest, client representative, and leading business development/strategic planning efforts.
Allender will work alongside the Transportation team to achieve the McClure vision of making lives better. He is looking forward to joining a team that’s already performing at a high level and filling in the needs to keep growing. When asked what made him decide to join McClure, he said, “The team they’ve put together and the vision for where we’re going sealed the deal. I’ve known a handful of team members and they’ve always spoken highly of McClure; spending more time with them and getting to know the actions behind McClure’s values meant a lot.”
