Michael Gaunt, PLA Joins McClure

CORALVILLE, IOWA, December 10, 2023 – Michael Gaunt has joined McClure’s Development team as a Senior Landscape Architect.

Gaunt attended Iowa State University where he earned his Bachelor of Landscape Architecture (BLA). He then attended the University of Minnesota and earned a Master of Science in Landscape Architecture (MSLA). He is professionally licensed in Iowa. Since 2013, he worked as the Senior Landscape Architect with Bishop Engineering in Urbandale. his responsibilities started with basic planting plans but quickly grew into development master planning and concepting, project management, and business development. His experience prior to Bishop Engineering was rather diverse and included an architectural firm, and large design/build landscape contracting company, multi-disciplinary firms, and even a managing partner in a limestone quarry. He also spent six years as Chapter President of Iowa ASLA (American Society of Landscape Architects) and three years as the Chapter Trustee.

Gaunt will work alongside the Development team to achieve the McClure vision of making lives better. He is looking forward to being a part of the development of McClure’s planning services. When asked what made him decide to join McClure, he said, “I wanted to work for a company with challenging opportunities. McClure seems to be a perfect fit and I was excited to join the Coralville office since I have no intention of relocating again.”
