BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS, October 1, 2024 – Pamela Haznar has joined McClure’s East Coast team as a Business Development Lead.
Haznar graduated from University of Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. She is also a licensed Professional Engineer in Massachusetts. Before joining McClure, she spent most of her career at the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT). She started in the Construction and Maintenance Sections, gaining hands-on experience before moving to the Projects (Design) Section, where she designed projects and reviewed consultant designs.
In 2006, she was promoted to District Five Project Development Engineer, where her role expanded to include working with municipalities, regional agencies, and federal and state entities. She became involved in planning, programming, and funding, while still overseeing the engineering aspects of projects. She found it rewarding to guide projects from inception through construction, working on initiatives such as Safe Routes to School, Shared Use Paths, and major infrastructure projects.
Haznar will work alongside the East Coast team to achieve McClure’s vision of making lives better. She is looking forward to utilizing her skills and experience to connect communities with valuable resources at McClure. She is also looking forward to working with McClure team members and developing new relationships. When asked what made her decide to join McClure, she said, “I worked on a number of projects with current McClure staff and have much respect for them professionally and personally. After speaking with them, I began researching McClure and was impressed with the philosophy and culture. Over the course of my career, I came to realize that engineering is a tool to enhance the quality of life and ‘make lives better.’” `
