STADIUM VIEW SUBDIVISION –
The City of Manning, faced with a home shortage and in need of affordable housing, pursued development of a residential subdivision on city-owned land. McClure partnered with the city to provided conceptual site layouts, topographic survey, platting, design, and bidding services. In total, 15.16 acres of land was developed, platting a total of 20 pocket neighborhood lots, 16 residential lots, and one outlot providing 5 acres for future development.
- To achieve affordable housing options, 20 pocket lots were platted which average 0.1 acres in size. The pocket lots face a 0.4-acre common space to create a localized community environment.
- The city project spurred a subsequent 13 lot private development, on which McClure provided survey, platting, and design. The subdivision is anticipated to be completed in October 2023.
- The project was designed to accommodate 102.4 acres of bypass, offsite drainage. McClure developed a solution by creating a detention basin via roadway embankment to avoid costly excavation.
