CALLAWAY COUNTY BRIDGE 4440016 REPLACEMENT

Project Overview

The existing truss structure on County Road 1051 had reached the end of its serviceable life and determined eligible for Off-System Bridge (BRO) Funding. Callaway County hired McClure to design a replacement structure to meet the requirements of the funding program. McClure provided survey, bridge and roadway design, hydraulic analysis, right-of-way negotiation services, utility coordination, geotechnical engineering, bidding assistance, construction observation, materials testing coordination, and permitting services.

Project Highlights:

• During the right-of-way negotiation phase, on landowner requested compensation and McClure provided Waiver Valuation documentation as part of the process, keeping the project within federal funding guidelines.  
• Provided a wider, safer structure for larger farm equipment and the traveling public.
• Large Single-span structure conveys the water more effectively, reducing the potential for scour and debris build up.
