KATY TRAIL BRIDGE OVER SALT CREEK

Project Overview

The Katy Trail attracts 400,000 visitors yearly along its 240-mile route, impacting the communities along its path. This project included the replacement of an existing railroad bridge over Salt Creek, due to flooding. The bridge is located in the Katy Trail State Park. McClure’s team provided the bridge inspection, survey, design and construction observation for the project. Our solution was to replace the current structure with a pre-manufactured structure that is higher in elevation, therefore allowing flood water and debris to pass through more effectively.
