LUNDGREN WIND FARM
Project Overview
McClure was retained by Webster County to assist during the construction phase of this project. McClure has served as the county engineer related to their county-owned drainage network. This network consists of hundreds of miles of drain tiles and open ditches that serve to drain the agricultural areas throughout Webster County. When construction impacts this drainage system, it can have disastrous effects on the surrounding farm ground if not properly repaired. When MidAmerican Energy began construction on the Lundgren Wind Farm, it became apparent that there would be major impacts to this drainage system. McClure served as the owner’s resident project representative on this project. That task included overseeing the ongoing construction activities and documenting any instances in which a drain tile or open ditch was impacted by construction. These tile crossings were repaired to strict county standards, and McClure documented all repairs for county records and updating of their GIS database.
