DES MOINES, IOWA, June 8, 2026- McClure is pleased to welcome Sanjin Mrzljak to the Survey team as a Crew Member.
Sanjin graduated from Arizona State University in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. During his time at ASU, he was introduced to land surveying through a hydrology internship with the Maricopa County Flood Control District’s Special Projects Division, an experience that helped spark his long-term interest in the field.
Prior to joining McClure, Sanjin worked in Las Vegas for the Nevada Department of Transportation as part of the Roadway Construction team, where he served as an Office Engineer. In this role, he contributed to inspections, materials testing, and land surveying, while primarily supporting office operations. When not in the field, he was covering estimates, RFIs, quantity tracking, and order changes.
Now at McClure, Sanjin serves as a Crew Member on the Survey team, where he is eager to deepen his knowledge of the profession and continue building his career in the field. As he makes the transition from roadway construction into full-time surveying, he looks forward to gaining hands-on experience, expanding his technical skills, and contributing to survey projects. Having always enjoyed supporting surveying work in previous roles, Sanjin is excited to fully pursue that interest at McClure, with the long-term goal of becoming a Professional Land Surveyor.
This new opportunity, combined with what he learned about McClure during the hiring process, made the move feel like a natural next step in his career. When asked what drew him to the company, Sanjin shared that he had not been familiar with McClure before relocating to the Des Moines area. After being referred through a mutual connection and taking time to learn more about the company, he quickly recognized it was a strong fit. Sanjin was especially drawn to McClure’s growth and momentum, along with its size and culture. Most importantly, Sanjin said the welcoming and genuine interactions he experienced during the interview process played a major role in his decision to join the team.
