CORALVILLE, IOWA, March 23, 2026- McClure is pleased to welcome Stephanie Broden to the Water team as a Staff Engineer.
Stephanie earned her bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2020 and completed her master’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Iowa in December 2024.
Stephanie began her career as a Mechanical Design Intern with Caterpillar before continuing her professional development at Collins Aerospace, where she served as both an intern and later a full-time engineer on the Mission Systems Communication Hardware design team. After several years in the mechanical engineering field, she chose to transition her focus to environmental engineering. She returned to graduate school while simultaneously starting her role with Stanley Consultants, where she contributed to the environmental compliance team.
At McClure, Stephanie will serve as a Staff Engineer on the Water team, where her primary focus will be on water and wastewater treatment design.
When asked what drew Stephanie to McClure, she shared “I originally was attracted to the type of work that I would be doing: design work within environmental and civil engineering. While I focused primarily on engineering design as a mechanical engineer, I had fewer opportunities while working in environmental compliance. Once I applied and had an opportunity to get to know the team leaders and company culture, I knew it would be a good match. I was excited to learn more about McClure’s projects and how I could get involved.”
