CLIVE, IOWA, May 26, 2026- McClure is excited to welcome Travis Moritz to the Transportation team as a Staff Engineer.
Travis earned both his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master of Engineering in Structural Engineering from Iowa State University. He first joined McClure in 2022 as a Survey Intern, where he supported on-site construction staking and topographic survey efforts. The following summer, he served as a Transportation RPR Intern, assisting with resident project observation, daily task monitoring, progress reporting, and construction documentation.
In 2024 and 2025, Travis transitioned into a Bridge Intern role, contributing to bridge and culvert design, supported engineering tasks, and helped develop tools for the bridge team.
In his new role as Staff Engineer, Travis will support the bridge team while contributing to a variety of projects across McClure’s transportation portfolio. He will be involved in design efforts, technical analysis, and collaborative engineering work alongside team members across the organization.
When asked what drew him to McClure full time, Travis shared, “Throughout my four internships with McClure, I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside a number of skilled professionals who consistently treated me like a valued member of the team. McClure has demonstrated a genuine investment and involvement in my learning and growth as an engineer. The ‘people-first’ culture has been evident from day one, from the upper-level leadership to my fellow peers. The direction of the company, the strength of its people, and the culture McClure has built made joining full-time an easy decision.”
