Ankeny Regional Airport, Rehabilitation of Runway 18-36
Ankeny, IA
The Ankeny Regional Airport is currently the third busiest airport in the state of Iowa and provides private, corporate, and freight aviation services to the greater Des Moines area and Polk County. To further its mission of offering safe and accessible aircraft accommodations to the surrounding community, the Airport tasked McClure with the rehabilitation of Runway 18-36. The proposed improvements by McClure included pavement marking removal and pavement maintenance consisting of full-depth slab replacements, partial depth patching, full depth patching, diamond grinding, PCC joint cleaning and sealing, and PCC crack route and seal. The project also includes the application of permanent pavement markings using waterborne paint.
McClure is delivering comprehensive services to support the Airport throughout the project, including design, bidding, and construction administration. The team is coordinating with contractors and working closely with both the client and the Federal Aviation Administration to ensure the successful completion of the runway rehabilitation and to maintain the Airport’s high standard of service.
