Cooley Park
Kansas City, MO
In 2018, the City of Kansas City completed a master plan for the development of an 18-acre park featuring a diverse landscape with a creek running through the site—steep topography to the east and open, flat fields to the west. The master plan envisioned a wide range of recreational amenities, including sports fields, courts, trails, and gathering spaces to serve the surrounding community.
McClure was selected through a Design/Build partnership with MegaKC to deliver the first phase of improvements. This phase included the design and construction of three soccer fields, enhanced trail connections, and expanded parking facilities. Future planned phases will introduce additional amenities such as a new playground and shelter, two volleyball courts, and two basketball courts to further activate and enhance the park for community use.
