Perennial Corktown
Detroit, MI
The Corktown project is a multi‑story residential development contributing to the revitalization of Detroit’s historic Corktown neighborhood. McClure provided structural engineering for all framing above Level 2, including a complex steel podium that required extensive coordination with architectural and MEP systems. Numerous beam penetrations were incorporated to accommodate building services, all of which were fully BIM coordinated through close collaboration with the project team to support efficient construction and long‑term performance.
Highlights
- Full BIM coordination of floor/roof joists (nearly 6000 individual joists), structural steel framing (including beam penetrations and reinforcement), columns, posts, and CFS framing.
