Port Canaveral Welcome Center
Port Canaveral, FL
This iconic eight-story structure was designed to serve as the centerpiece of Port Canaveral, Florida, and stands as a highly visible landmark, recognizable from miles in every direction. McClure partnered with Radius Track Corporation as the cladding engineer for the project, providing expertise in the design and detailing of the exterior envelope.
The cladding system was engineered using radiused cold-formed steel stud panels, creating a visually striking curved façade. These panels were prefabricated offsite for quality control and construction efficiency, then hoisted into place and secured to the building exterior. The assembly featured a water-tight enclosure, ensuring long-term durability in the coastal environment.
