University of Missouri Softball Field and Band Practice Relocation

University of Missouri Softball Field and Band Practice Relocation

Columbia, MO

McClure provided comprehensive civil and structural design services for a new Division I collegiate softball stadium on the University of Missouri campus. The facility was built on the site of the University’s main commuter parking lot, requiring detailed coordination and planning. McClure’s scope included demolition plans, stadium parking layout and grading, and the design and layout of utility infrastructure, including water, chilled water, steam, and sanitary services.

To offset the loss of commuter parking, McClure designed site improvements to restripe the existing Marching Mizzou practice field for temporary parking use, planned a parking lot expansion, and developed a new asphalt practice field. Additional improvements included the design of a new band storage building and a conductor’s tower to support the Marching Mizzou program.
