BUCKEYE PUMP STATION – KANSAS CITY, MO

Project Overview

McClure was requested by Kansas City Water to develop a system for contractors and KC Water crews to dump the contents from sewer vacuum trucks that allows for separation of sand and debris from the liquid. The design developed included a method for trucks to dump without the need to back up, ability to drain to a sand trap. It has a fixed screen to separate floating debris, mud valves for dewatering and a telescoping valve for decanting. There are barriers installed to allow maintenance/debris removal with a wheeled loader from the drying pad to the sand trap.
