Project Overview
A strong desire to improve access to future development areas was the driving force behind this project. The City of Marshalltown contracted with McClure to develop concepts for a new road through an undeveloped tract of land in Marshalltown. McClure concepted potential locations for a new roadway while factoring in locations for future development and land uses adjacent to the proposed roadway. Design included extensive earth moving, storm sewer, water main, sanitary sewer, and box culvert design. Additionally, the design included a single lane roundabout, but this was removed prior to bidding and construction.
