Afton Road Bridge #0190003 Replacement
Linneus, MO
McClure provided surveying, hydraulic analysis, permitting, preliminary layout, and final bridge design services for the replacement of Bridge #0190003. With Lincoln County personnel completing a significant portion of the construction, McClure collaborated closely with the County throughout the design process to ensure the plans aligned with local construction practices.
The final design features a single-span bridge with steel H-piles supporting the substructure and steel I-girders with a concrete deck forming the superstructure. The new bridge offers improved hydraulic capacity, reduced scour potential, and increased width to safely accommodate two-way traffic and large agricultural equipment. Upon completion, McClure will facilitate the Soft-Match Credit (SMC) submittal to MoDOT under the BRO Program, enabling the County to leverage the credit toward future bridge replacement projects.
